Understanding the Importance of Kalash Sthapana:

Symbol of Divine Energy: Dr. Kochar informs that Kalash symbolizes the divine energy of the goddess. It is a liquid container of life energy and it depicts the whole cosmic universe and life itself.

Invoking Goddess Durga: This ritual signifies bringing Goddess Durga into your home so she may bless you for the next nine days of the festival: imparting all kinds of protection, strength, and abundance.

Essential Steps for Kalash Sthapana:

Purify the Area: cleanliness is serenity: cleanses puja space thoroughly; no obstruction of positive energy because that is Dr. Kochar's absolute requirement.

Kalash Selection: Copper and clay pots are good choices because they are best in attracting positive vibrations. Fill with water, then put in a few coins, barley, and rice to ensure prosperity and wealth.

Coconut and Mango Leaves: Place fresh coconut over the Kalash and surround it with mango leaves. The coconut represents Lord Ganesha, while mango leaves symbolize fertility and abundance.

Placing the Kalash: Best when placed on pure cloth or silver plate in some centrally located direction within your home, ideally northeast direction for perfect energy flow.

Sacred Offerings: Decorate with flowers, incense, and sacred red cloth to make the Kalash even more divine.

Auspicious Timings (Muhurat) for Kalash Sthapana in Navratri 2025:

The ideal time according to Dr. Kochar's astrological advice for performing the Kalash Sthapana of 2025 is during Pratipada Tithi on March 30th. The most auspicious timing for this ritual falls between 6:00 AM to 8:30 AM when energies are most conducive for spiritual practice.

Avoiding Sukhad Timings: The purification must be performed outside of **Rahu Kaal (7:30 AM-9:00 AM) and Yama Gandam (3:00 PM-4:30 PM) into inauspicious times according to Vedic astrology for spiritual practices.
