Ritu Khemka, a well-known food influencer, shares with you a healthy and delicious classic recipe, the Matar Paneer Sandwich. You will be surprised after knowing that, in this sandwich recipe there is no use of bread. Along with this, it is packed with flavors and nutrients that make it a perfect choice for breakfast, snacks, or even a tiffin box. This power-packed meal is also an ideal choice for health lovers because it contains low cards. So, if you want to try this recipe then you have to follow some procedure.

Ingredients:

For the Batter:

  • 2 cups sooji
  • 1/2 cup curd
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup capsicum
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1 tsp salt or as per taste
  • 1 cup water or as required

For matar paneer filling:

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen peas
  • 1 cup fresh paneer
  • 1/2 onion
  • 2-3 green chilies or as required
  • 1/4 cup coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp sandwich masala or chaat masala
  • 1 tsp salt or as per taste
  • Some oil or ghee to grease the sandwich maker.

Method:

  • In a bowl mix all the batter ingredients
  • Add water gradually and make a thick pouring consistency batter.
  • Cover and let it rest for 10-15 minutes. 
  • To prepare the stuffing, boil peas until soft.
  • Mash it roughly then add all the filling ingredients and mix them well.
  • Heat an electric or stovetop sandwich maker then apply some oil or ghee. 
  • Spread some batter then layer it with some stuffing and cover with more batter and spread.
  • Cook until golden and crispy.
  • Serve with green chutney or tomato ketchup.

It is an amazing and delicious recipe and satisfies a sandwich without using any bread. To stay healthy it is the best choice for you to add this recipe to your daily meal.
